BARD Offshore 1 is an offshore wind farm located in the German North Sea, approximately 100 km northwest of the island of Borkum. With a capacity of 400 MW, it is a large-scale facility within the offshore wind sector. The plant is owned and operated by Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH & Co. KG and has been operational since 2013. The facility features 80 BARD 5.0 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5 MW, mounted on monopile foundations in water depths of up to 40 meters.
