Allahamah STP - Secondary Wastewater Treatment Plant in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Allahamah STP is a major wastewater treatment facility located in Allahamah, Al Ain, within the Abu Dhabi Emirate of the United Arab Emirates. The plant serves a population of approximately 650,000, making it a large-scale agglomeration under regional classification. It is operated by Veolia & BESIX on behalf of Al Wathba Veolia Besix Waste Water PJSC. The plant employs activated sludge with biological nutrient removal to achieve secondary treatment. With a designed capacity of 130,000 m³/day and full utilization, it operates at capacity. The facility is regulated by the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company (ADSSC), which oversees permits and compliance under UAE environmental standards. All treated wastewater is reused for landscape and forestry irrigation within the Al Ain region, supporting green spaces and agricultural areas in an arid environment.
